Congratulations on your retirement, Anne!

Our dear friend and colleague, Anne McKay, is retiring after 19 years with effect:hope, The Leprosy Mission Canada.

Anne is our Ministry and Major Gifts Planner, and many of our longtime donors remember Anne’s kindness, sweet demeanour, and genuine concern for people affected by leprosy and other neglected tropical diseases.

Anne has seen effect:hope’s work in India on several occasions and quite easily embraced people who were isolated and stigmatized for their disease.

In the office, Anne is known for her warm laugh, persistent work ethic, and beautiful ability to accessorize her home and herself – from her impeccable taste in jewellery to her clothes.

She also shows her generosity in many ways. She loves to bring in and share snacks… much to chagrin of our waistlines! She always has a kind ear to lend and is trusted to share thoughtful advice when asked.

Anne’s passion and dedication toward the people we serve has been an inspiration to both former and current staff.

Congratulations on 19 years of service, Anne! We will miss you!!!
