You Are Helping End Discriminatory Leprosy Laws
Thank You for taking action: Together we call for an end to 130 discriminatory laws in 29 countries.

Although it’s been 40 years since we began curing leprosy, a mildly infectious disease, discriminatory laws continue to segregate and isolate people affected by leprosy from their communities–and even their families–around the world.
Effect Hope is partnering with other leprosy organizations to take action against the 130 discriminatory laws against people affected by leprosy in 29 countries. The petition will be presented to the Human Rights Council of the United Nations in October 2021.
We believe that the discriminatory laws against people affected by leprosy are a fundamental human rights issue. We must do everything to get rid of them.
Thank You for signing the petition and help eliminate discrimination against people affected by leprosy.
You Made a Difference!
When you added your name to this petition, you showed us that you care for justice for people affected by leprosy.
Thank You for standing up for those who unjustly face discrimination.
Together, we are creating a world full of hope for people affected by leprosy – An equitable world in which people with leprosy can enjoy the same freedoms as anybody else.
