Stephen, a 37-year-old nurse at the Barseegiah Health Clinic in Liberia, plays a vital role in diagnosing Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs). Thanks to training from Effect Hope partners, Stephen and his team can now offer local, accessible care to patients who previously sought costly treatments elsewhere. “We’re grateful for the training,” says Stephen. “Now, we can diagnose and treat NTDs without sending people far away for expensive care.”
