Leprosy can be cured. But at just 15, Savesh learned that stigma can continue disrupting someone’s life long after treatment is finished. After his diagnosis, fear and worry led him to stop attending school.
With treatment, counselling and encouragement, Savesh returned to his studies and began looking toward his future again. His experience shows why ending leprosy requires more than medicine—it also means replacing misinformation with facts and rejection with understanding.
