Her in-laws, consumed by fear and stigma, cast her aside — and with them, they took her 5-year-old son.
Today, Guddi lives with the emotional burden no mother should ever bear: not being allowed to see or hold her own child. She longs for the day when she can be permanently reunited with her son. But until she receives a permanent prosthesis and is seen as “healed,” her in-laws refuse to let her return.
