Reflecting on Impact
The fight against neglected tropical diseases is one of the most urgent and overlooked battles in the history of global health. It’s 2025, and yet more than one billion people around the world still lack access to essential healthcare.
For 132 years, Effect Hope has remained faithful in our mission, to empower and uplift people and communities affected by NTDs, promoting a future driven by hope.
What we do is complex, often impacted by fragile economies and under-resourced health systems. The diseases we work with are commonly under the radar, with global awareness remaining low. Yet, it is specifically within this overlooked space that we have decided to focus our efforts—an area that has huge potential for change, and although difficult, is filled with great purpose.
Your Support in Action
As one of our supporters, you are well aware not only of the challenges we face but also the impact of our work—the work made possible through you! Thanks to your support, in 2024 we administered preventative medicine to over 2 million people, provided 1,600 surgeries to restore mobility, and trained nearly 10,000 healthcare workers in Asia and Africa. And that’s only a snapshot of what we achieved together last year.
