The fight against neglected tropical diseases is one of the most urgent and overlooked battles in global health. For 132 years, Effect Hope has remained faithful in our mission—to empower and uplift people and communities affected by NTDs, promoting a future driven by hope.
Thanks to your support, in 2024, we administered preventative medicine to over 2 million people, provided 1,600 surgeries to restore mobility, and trained nearly 10,000 healthcare workers across Asia and Africa.
We are inspired by the example of Jesus to lead with compassion and provide a voice to the voiceless. At Effect Hope, we are honoured to bring hope, treatment and purpose to those affected by overlooked diseases in places that go unnoticed. Evidence-based Solutions
Facilitating Change and Driving Innovation
In places where resources and infrastructure are limited, evidence-based solutions are critical. Academic, operational and clinical research is an important catalyst for change in the fight against NTDs.
In 2024, we co-authored three research papers to identify and assess innovative, culturally-relevant and sustainable solutions to alleviate the global burden of NTDs.
These studies covered a wide range of topics, from designing effective community support programs to examining the psychological impact of skin diseases. Their findings have been published in respected peer-reviewed journals, including International Health.
This kind of research not only guides us toward the most impactful, effective solutions for the communities we serve—it also reinforces our commitment to evidence-based programming and continuous learning.
