January 30th Is World NTD Day

This month, you can help us reach our goal of raising $50,000 for those affected by leprosy and other neglected tropical diseases.

We can end the tragedy of neglected tropical diseases. But we can’t do it alone.

That’s why each year the world comes together to raise awareness about neglected tropical diseases and the impact it continues to have on many lives. We call this day World NTD Day.

This international day is an opportunity to celebrate people who have experienced neglected tropical diseases, raise awareness of the disease, and call for an end to the stigma and discrimination that surrounds them.

Didn’t Know that Leprosy still Exists?

Hundreds of thousands living in poverty are affected by this disabling disease every year.

Globally, 1 in 5 people live with Neglected Tropical Diseases

Neglected Tropical Diseases are a group of life-limiting diseases, like leprosy, that affect 1.7 billion people around the world. Those most impacted often live on the margins of some of the world’s poorest communities where water safety, sanitation, and access to health care is substandard.

Untreated, these diseases cause disfigurement, cognitive problems, rejection, and death.
