On March 21 & 22, 2025, we had the incredible honor of being the primary sponsor for Waterloo Region Worship at Base Church in Bloomingdale, ON. This event, which has a history of origin tracing back to December 2002, was nothing short of transformative. It brought together the heart and spirit of the Waterloo Region community, sparking powerful connections and filling the atmosphere with a sense of purpose and spiritual unity. The experience was not only enriching but also loaded with joy, laughter, and unforgettable moments.

This music-focused two-night event brought together 2,000 attendees from over 150 churches, united by one goal: to connect deeply with God through worship. It transcended denominational boundaries and diverse worship styles, creating an unforgettable experience of unity. In those moments, we were reminded that, despite our differences, we are all part of one church, actively pursuing the same God with hearts full of faith.

Waterloo Region Worship provided Effect Hope with an opportunity to step into the heart of the community, connecting with individuals from all walks of life at our newly designed booth. With a Christ-centered vision, we shared the vital message that leprosy is not just a thing of the past—but that it remains a challenge in many underdeveloped nations today. This event wasn’t just an outreach initiative; it was a gateway to new relationships, sparking meaningful connections and paving the way for future collaborations and events. The doors have opened, and our journey of impact has only begun.

Our incredible Effect Hope volunteers were the heart and soul of the event, standing proudly in our branded shirts by the venue doors, at our vibrant booth, and throughout the bustling halls, passionately sharing the mission and vision of Effect Hope with every attendee. Leading the charge were Kim Evans, our dynamic CEO, Darcy Rumble, our dedicated Major Gifts Officer, Gary Sharpe, our ever-engaged Events Coordinator and Michael Milne, our crafty Communications Lead—all of whom brought energy and enthusiasm to this action-packed event.
